TL;DR
Sr Electrical Engineer, CRM (Medical Devices): Designing, debugging, characterizing, and verifying electrical systems for implantable cardiac devices and external patient-monitoring equipment with an accent on analog and digital circuitry, PCB design, and regulated product development. Focus on integrating electronics with firmware and mechanical designs, developing automated test environments, validating test methods, and supporting manufacturing.
Location: Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; minimum 4 days per week onsite
Salary: $120,800–$181,200 per year, plus eligibility for the Incentive Plan.

What you will do
- Design, develop, analyze, and debug analog and digital electrical circuits for new products.
- Develop implantable pulse generators, cardioverter defibrillators, diagnostic devices, patient communicators, programmers, and monitors through all product-development phases.
- Integrate electronics, firmware, and mechanical designs into finished products.
- Define production test requirements and support PCB, device assembly, and manufacturing test applications.
- Develop and validate test procedures, automated test environments, emulation systems, and non-product software validation methods.
- Interpret system and product requirements, verify compliance, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, master’s degree with at least 2 years, or PhD with no experience required.
- Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not offered for roles below Principal level.
- For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
- Ability to work onsite at least 4 days per week in Mounds View, Minnesota.
Nice to have
- Technical leadership experience and strong communication skills.
- PCB design methodology, CAD tools, and manufacturing-process experience.
- PSPICE or LTSPICE circuit simulation and RF design-debugging experience.
- Class III medical-device or other regulated-product design, verification, and validation experience.
- MATLAB modeling, C/C++, LabVIEW, Python scripting, ISO 14708, or IEC 60601 experience.
