Sr. Software Engineer (Java/JavaScript)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of web and mobile software supporting connected pelvic health therapies, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement production-grade web applications, backend microservices, and frontend interfaces.
• Translate business and system requirements into technical designs and secure software implementations.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads, systems engineers, quality engineers, security teams, and UI/UX engineers.
• Develop software verification activities, including test designs and test cases.
• Support the lifecycle from planning and design through implementation, verification, and product release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or PhD.
• Required experience developing production-grade software solutions using Java and JavaScript.
• For baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire and throughout employment.
• The role requires independent mobility, computer interaction, and communication with peers and co-workers; reasonable accommodations are available.

Nice to have

• Java, JavaScript, and/or Kotlin experience.
• Experience with Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Angular, or RxJS.
• Knowledge of ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS, Kafka, or similar messaging and streaming solutions.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and data modeling.
• Experience building highly available and scalable applications.
• Experience partnering with UI/UX Engineers, Product Owners, and Architects throughout the product lifecycle.
• Experience authoring software requirements and translating them into verification strategies, test designs, and test cases.
• Experience across the complete software development lifecycle and familiarity with regulated medical device software standards.
