Software Engineer 3 (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable TS/SCI with polygraph clearance are required.

Salary: $122,000–$253,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain full-stack software supporting mission-critical customer needs in an agile environment.
• Analyze user requirements and derive software design, performance, and functional requirements.
• Design, code, debug, modify, and integrate software into new or existing systems and operating environments.
• Develop database queries and algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
• Assist with software testing and write and review software and system documentation.
• Analyze system performance, data usage, workflows, and problem areas while collaborating with users, system engineers, and internal and external stakeholders; serve as a project-appropriate team lead.

Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university, typically with 20 years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; four additional years of similar software engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, REST services, Spring, MongoDB or other databases, Tomcat, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, GitLab, and CI/CD.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and communicate technical work clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
