AI Platform Engineer

Location: Bristol, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site

Salary: £48,987–£54,430 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, scale and support BI and AI platform capabilities used across the organisation.
• Create reusable patterns, blueprints, standards and operating models that enable platform adoption and self-service.
• Improve connectivity between BI applications and cloud or on-premises data sources.
• Contribute to conversational analytics, AI-enabled insights and semantic data foundations.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, networking and cloud teams to deliver secure, scalable and resilient solutions.
• Support platform simplification and continuous improvement for BI developers and consumers.

Requirements

• Experience administering and supporting enterprise BI platforms such as Power BI, Looker or similar technologies.
• Experience designing, implementing or supporting platform services, standards and operational practices.
• Ability to collaborate with architecture, security, networking and cloud stakeholders.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles applied to platform development and service delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud tooling, infrastructure as code, identity and access management or deployment tooling.
• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, AI-enabled analytics or conversational analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of semantic modelling, knowledge-layer concepts or end-to-end BI data patterns.
