AI Platform Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build and operate secure platform capabilities across a multi-cloud environment, including production services, APIs, automation and infrastructure-as-code components.
• Apply AI and agentic capabilities to platform operations, including environment provisioning, onboarding, access management, fault diagnosis and remediation.
• Build resilient, observable and reliable services with monitoring, alerting, telemetry, recovery patterns and operational dashboards.
• Develop reporting and analytics for platform usage, cost, performance, adoption, KPIs, OKRs and business outcomes.
• Help engineering, data and business teams move AI use cases into secure production environments through reusable patterns, documentation and self-service capabilities.
• Apply security, privacy, governance, auditability, explainability and responsible AI controls throughout the platform lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating cloud-based platforms, services or cloud-native applications.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, identity and access management, security and operational controls.
• Strong software engineering or scripting skills with experience in production codebases, APIs, infrastructure as code, CI/CD and automated delivery.
• Experience using logs, metrics, traces and telemetry to improve system performance, reliability and operability.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver technology capabilities into production and support their ongoing operation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and collaborate with engineering, data, security and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI-powered applications, agents, copilots or intelligent automation.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, vector search or enterprise knowledge retrieval.
• Experience with public cloud AI services, data platforms, metadata, lineage, cataloguing and access control.
• Experience with MLOps, AI evaluation, monitoring, containerisation, orchestration or API-first architecture.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, model governance, AI safety controls or regulated environments.
