Software Engineer, Platform (AI): Building foundational data platforms, cloud infrastructure, orchestration systems, and developer tooling that power AI products with an accent on scalable distributed systems, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent orchestration. Focus on designing reliable platform capabilities, integrating Kubernetes and Terraform deployments, and improving how engineers build, test, and deploy software.

What you will do
- Design and implement foundational platforms and systems that establish the baseline for product capabilities.
- Build shared data platforms, lifecycle systems, cloud infrastructure, and orchestration tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver features iteratively.
- Experiment with current AI techniques and technologies, including agentic experiences.
- Improve programming practices through process enhancements and tooling upgrades.
- Present technical information and provide guidance on development processes and technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time engineering experience after graduation, with a focus on back-end systems.
- Strong experience with scalable and reliable distributed systems hosted on public cloud platforms.
- Experience building document retrieval and understanding systems such as RAG.
- Fluency with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and other containerization and deployment technologies.
- Experience with long-running agent or code orchestration platforms such as Temporal, structured databases including Postgres, and CI/CD tooling.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Experience across multiple cloud platforms, including GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle, or on-premise environments.
- Experience with knowledge graphs, hierarchical indexes, Databricks, Snowflake, or authorization systems.
- Experience scaling technical products at hyper-growth startups.
