Associate Director, Contracting (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $152,000–$228,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end payer contract development, including pre-deal analytics, negotiations, redlining, legal review, governance, tracking, and post-deal analysis.
• Manage contracting calendars, bid and offer matrices, reporting, documentation, and execution-status communications.
• Coordinate the transition of executed contracts to operational teams for implementation and adjudication.
• Provide insights for gross-to-net forecasting, pricing decisions, contracting strategies, and business planning.
• Support Account Managers with ad hoc analysis, business planning, and contract performance reviews.
• Advise on rebate analysis, payments, contract administration, and resolution of rebate-claim disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline.
• Typically at least 8 years of experience in payer contracting, contract administration, or analytics within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industries.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing government programs, associated regulations, managed care, formulary coverage, market share, and profitability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to use financial models for business scenarios.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet constant deadlines.
