Immunology Senior Research Scientist - Single-Cell Genomics

Location: Seattle, WA; on-site five days per week

Salary: $124,200–$186,400 per year, plus annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Design, execute, optimize, and interpret single-cell genomics and multi-omics workflows using 10x Genomics and related platforms.
• Process primary tissue and peripheral biological samples, including dissociation, cell isolation, enrichment, counting, and viability assessment.
• Generate and quality-control transcriptomic, epigenomic, immune-profiling, multiome, and CITE-seq libraries.
• Establish SOPs, assay documentation, and experimental best practices while troubleshooting sample quality, library complexity, and sequencing performance.
• Coordinate sequencing and run tracking with internal core groups and external vendors, and support flow cytometry and cell-sorting activities.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics and computational biology teams to interpret complex datasets and support translational research, biomarker development, and therapeutic hypothesis generation.

Requirements

• PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 6+ years; or a Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years.
• Deep hands-on expertise in single-cell genomics workflows, particularly 10x Genomics platforms.
• Strong wet-lab experience in NGS library preparation, molecular biology, and complex sample processing.
• Ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot, and optimize technically sophisticated experiments.
• Strong attention to experimental rigor, data quality, documentation, and collaboration in multidisciplinary research environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle five days per week.

• Experience with downstream computational analysis of single-cell datasets.
• Experience with emerging single-cell and multi-omics methods.
