Managed Care Contracting Associate Director (Pharmaceuticals)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work permitted up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Salary: $152,000–$228,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end development and administration of payer, provider, trade and distribution, and hospital group purchasing organization contracts.
• Coordinate pre-deal and post-deal analytics, negotiations, governance, redlining, legal review, tracking, reporting, and execution.
• Maintain contract calendars, bid and offer matrices, process documentation, and execution status communications.
• Transition executed contracts to operational teams, explain key terms, and support implementation and adjudication.
• Provide insights for gross-to-net forecasting, pricing, contracting strategy, business planning, and contract performance reviews.
• Advise on rebate analysis and payments, financial scenarios, contract administration, and resolution of rebate claim disputes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in payer contracting, contract administration, analytics, or a related area within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or a similar industry.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing government programs, associated regulations, managed care, formulary coverage, market share, and profitability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills, including the ability to use financial models.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management, communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Work must be performed in the Boston, MA area under the hybrid or on-site Flex arrangement.
