General Manager (Fitness)

Fitness club business operating as part of Frasers Group, a UK retail and fitness organisation.

What you will do

• Take ownership of the club's day-to-day operation and overall performance.
• Recruit, coach, develop and retain colleagues while building a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Drive membership growth, retention, secondary spend, revenue and profitability.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data and deliver commercial improvements and local marketing initiatives.
• Ensure high standards of member experience, presentation, cleanliness, safety and operational efficiency.
• Oversee compliance, risk management, company procedures and pool plant operations where applicable.

Requirements

• At least one year's management experience in fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Experience leading and developing successful teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and a record of achieving business targets.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical and customer-service skills.
• Positive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fitness or leisure environment.
• Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Knowledge of membership sales, retention and club operations.
• Pool plant and Health & Safety experience.
