Materials & Logistics Lead

Location: Hickory, North Carolina, United States; 2nd shift, 2:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Lead daily warehouse operations and provide guidance to Materials & Logistics Coordinators and Warehouse Clerks.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, inventory control, order picking, verification, and shipping activities.
• Train and mentor team members on warehouse processes, inventory systems, and safety standards.
• Process ERP inventory transactions, monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Investigate shipment and fulfillment issues while coordinating with Customer Service, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Support reporting, audits, process improvement initiatives, and a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping and receiving, inventory management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving procedures.
• Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, barcode scanners, labeling systems, scales, and other warehouse equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, plus strong communication, organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience leading, training, mentoring, or coaching warehouse associates.
• Experience with warehouse continuous improvement, freight coordination, transportation logistics, or inventory audits.
• Experience in a manufacturing or technology-driven environment.
