AI Engineer - Automated Channels Transformation

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; relocation to Cincinnati is required

What you will do

• Design and build generative AI and agentic systems for customer-facing banking channels.
• Develop AI agents using reasoning, planning, retrieval, and tool integration.
• Evaluate agents before and after deployment and define success metrics such as containment, resolution time, customer satisfaction, and sentiment.
• Analyze prompts, retrieval strategies, workflows, tools, runtime performance, accuracy, quality, latency, failures, escalations, retries, and cost.
• Produce evidence for AI governance reviews and ensure solutions meet security, compliance, risk, regulatory, and responsible AI requirements.
• Partner with product, business, software, cloud, data, security, compliance, and risk teams while influencing architecture and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 6+ years of experience developing software or AI solutions in production environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Expertise in generative AI, context engineering, LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, MCP, loop or graph engineering, and agentic system design.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Strands, Google ADK, Anthropic SDK, or OpenAI SDK.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Terraform, data structures, algorithms, software design, and AI application observability.
