Senior Associate, Artificial Intelligence Engineering (AI)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid work with up to 2 remote days per week

Salary: $105,300–$147,600 annually; 6%–10% target incentive range

What you will do

• Build and ship production AI applications using Claude, Anthropic tooling, and AWS.
• Develop agent orchestration, tool integrations, and context design for multi-step agentic workflows.
• Contribute to application-side AI behavior, prompt and context architecture, evaluation design, or infrastructure-side AWS environments, CI/CD, and observability.
• Implement automated evaluations and output validation checks for reliable AI systems in a regulated environment.
• Collaborate on technical designs, code reviews, and architecture reviews with senior engineers.
• Implement AI governance standards in partnership with hirify.global’s AI Governance function.

Requirements

• Demonstrated interest in AI and LLM systems through coursework, personal projects, internships, or early professional work.
• Strong Python skills and working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and containerization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience; internships and substantial academic projects may be considered for exceptional candidates.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Claude, the Anthropic API, or Claude.ai/Console.
• Exposure to agent orchestration frameworks or the Model Context Protocol.
• Interest or experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, financial markets, or other regulated industries.
