Mechanical Engineering Intern (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Design, assemble, test, and evaluate 3D printers.
• Build prototype components and assemblies using in-house facilities.
• Use CAD to design parts and assemblies and create engineering drawings.
• Participate in design reviews and solve design, engineering, and manufacturing problems.
• Communicate directly with vendors and suppliers to address production challenges.
• Develop time management and communication skills through hands-on engineering work.

Requirements

• Interest in engineering design and bringing physical products to market.
• Experience with complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience through lab research, a project team, a prior internship, or previous work experience.
• Up-to-date resume and portfolio of previous engineering work or projects required.
• Full-time onsite availability in Somerville, Massachusetts from January through April 2027.
