Senior 3D Printing R&D Engineer

What you will do

• Create new 3D printing techniques, from printer architectures to precise Galvo control improvements.
• Lead projects and investigate emerging printing technologies.
• Design and run experiments, build test fixtures, and use results to improve printer hardware and software.
• Evaluate printer performance and identify opportunities to improve current products.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, software, and other engineering teams.
• Redesign support-structure algorithms and other product components based on experimental results.

Requirements

• 3+ years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in an engineering field.
• Experience with experiment design, data analysis, and scientific computing.
• Understanding of programming, ideally Python or MATLAB.
• Familiarity with mechanical design, mechatronics, and CAD modeling.
• Ability to work autonomously, question assumptions, document results, and make data-driven recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience working on consumer products.
• Experience developing physics-based models of complex systems.
• A website or portfolio documenting current and past projects.
