Additive Manufacturing Technician (3D Printing)

What you will do

• Prepare digital print files using slicing and build-processor software, including part orientation, support structures, and nesting layouts.
• Set up, calibrate, change over, and operate industrial 3D-printing equipment, including Stratasys FDM and HP Multi Jet Fusion systems.
• Perform post-processing activities such as support removal, media blasting, and part inspection.
• Diagnose print failures including warping, delamination, and porosity, and perform routine mechanical, optical, and fluidic printer maintenance.
• Maintain job logs, post material usage, and control consumable inventory.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience or training.
• Ability to interpret technical procedures, mathematical or diagram-based instructions, and business or technical documentation.
• Ability to apply probability, statistics, geometry, trigonometry, ratios, percentages, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and electrical hazards.
