Senior 3D Print Optimization Engineer

What you will do

• Improve the capabilities and print performance of SLA and SLS 3D printing platforms.
• Architect optimization methodologies that improve printing speed, reliability, accuracy, ease of post-processing, and part quality.
• Lead root cause analysis across mechanics, fluid dynamics, software, chemistry, optics, electronics, thermodynamics, and customer behavior.
• Design efficient experiments to isolate underlying behavior in complex systems with many variables.
• Develop and commercialize solutions that create immediate improvements in customer print performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Experience designing tests whose results affect product performance.
• Experience shipping a product or process to end users.
• B.S., M.S., or PhD in a science or engineering discipline.
• Customer focus, strong ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to work across disciplinary boundaries.
• Ability to work autonomously and learn new skills to solve complex problems.

Nice to have

• Coding experience, ideally in Python.
• Computer-aided design experience.
• Understanding of material properties and characterization.
• Participation in the release of a new product.
