Capital Equipment Technician 1 (Metal Additive Manufacturing)

Location: Fremont, California, United States; on-site. Shift: 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.

Salary: $32–$43 per hour

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and repair metal additive manufacturing systems across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, cooling, motion-control, and process systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability, availability, and printer readiness.
• Diagnose complex failures, determine corrective actions, and support technicians with technical guidance.
• Maintain work orders, maintenance records, equipment logs, and service documentation.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and communicate recommendations to Engineering and management.
• Promote safe work practices, including LOTO, PPE, and company safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years of experience maintaining complex manufacturing or capital equipment in a production environment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, cooling, motion-control, sensor, motor, VFD, relay, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to mentor technicians, organize multiple equipment issues, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
