QPM - Engine Quality Program Manager (Aerospace)

Location: On-site with no remote option in Huntsville, Alabama; Kent, Washington; or Cape Canaveral / OLS, Florida.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $171,093–$239,529.15 annually; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Act as the liaison between quality organizations and engine program teams, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate quality input for proposals, contract reviews, clause flow-down, and program quality assurance plans.
• Plan quality resources and manage the quality budget as Program Cost Account Manager.
• Coordinate investigations, nonconformance corrective actions, pre-ship reviews, hardware acceptance reviews, and program-level risk boards.
• Lead root-cause analysis, Corrective Action Board activities, effectiveness checks, and systemic quality improvements.
• Present quality status and metrics while applying AI and analytics tools to support data trending and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field.
• At least 8 years of manufacturing experience, including 3 or more years in a quality engineering role.
• Ability to interpret specifications and engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9000, or related quality management systems.
• Working knowledge of AI tools and applications for quality and process improvement, or the ability to learn and apply them quickly.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or person granted asylum under export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup environment and transitioning products from development through production and operations.
• Experience with AS9145, Advanced Product Quality Planning, and Production Part Approval Process.
• Experience with human spaceflight, rocket engines, high-performance aircraft, NASA quality requirements, or FAR/DFARS clause flow-down.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or comparable certification.
