Quality Assurance Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo/East Aurora, New York; remote candidates will not be considered.

Salary: $65,000–$90,000 annually.

What you will do

• Plan, implement, and administer quality programs that meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Support military aircraft programs and quality decisions for customers including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Sikorsky.
• Represent hirify.global in government programs, DCMA activities, audits, and requirements.
• Conduct quality engineering studies, support manufacturing, recommend design changes, and develop inspection and process quality plans.
• Perform failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, configuration control, and traceability activities.
• Work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve complex quality problems and optimize inspection costs through statistical analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional engineering experience in quality, manufacturing, or product engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, New York.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, teamwork, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and programs concurrently with limited supervision.
• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Degree in manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
• Quality engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of root cause and corrective action, LEAN, and AS9100 quality systems.
• Exposure to ERP systems and experience working in fast-paced environments.
