Global Supply Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, United States; international travel of up to 20% is required for supplier visits, quality audits, and business reviews.

What you will do

• Identify and qualify suppliers with R&D for new product introductions.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and sourcing strategies to optimize value, quality, supply, and risk.
• Coordinate technical requirements between suppliers, contract manufacturers, and hirify.global R&D.
• Lead supplier manufacturing process development, launch readiness, and continuous improvement for new products and design changes.
• Develop cost models and estimates, source materials for NPI builds, and maintain clear-to-build reports.
• Report material availability, schedules, and program costs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of postgraduate experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and yield improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and data analysis ability.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with diverse teams.

Nice to have

• 3D CAD design experience, particularly SolidWorks.
• Two or more years of experience with electronics and schematic reading.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills.
