What you will do

• Capture requirements, negotiate scope, and deliver software aligned with program milestones.
• Design and implement production-quality Linux instrument drivers for avionics test instruments.
• Work with avionics hardware engineers to understand instrument behavior and validate drivers against hardware specifications.
• Architect and extend automated hardware-in-the-loop test execution frameworks.
• Implement pass/fail logic, limit management, and structured reporting for acceptance and qualification test campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional software coding and engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Python or C++ and proven experience developing software on Linux.
• Experience with socket programming, UDP/TCP, command transport, packet capture and parsing, network reliability, and configuration.
• Hands-on experience writing hardware interface software and instrument drivers.
• Git workflow discipline and CI/CD experience. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or individuals granted asylum.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automated test equipment and avionics test environments.
• Knowledge of acceptance and qualification testing in aerospace hardware development.
• Familiarity with Processor-in-Loop design and deployment.
