Mortgage Loan Officer - Chicago, IL

Location: Downers Grove, Illinois; office workplace. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 per hour as a non-recoverable draw reconciled against earned incentive compensation, plus eligibility for an applicable incentive compensation plan.

What you will do

• Develop and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Advise customers on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Support customers from loan approval through closing and work with loan origination sources to secure and verify underwriting information.
• Maintain client relationships and advise customers on completing loan applications.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organizational, multitasking, and PC and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
