Senior IT Project Manager (Banking)

Location: Warsaw or Łódź, Poland; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office

Rate: up to 110 PLN per hour on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Govern and continuously manage Transaction Monitoring models and related regulatory commitments.
• Own the model management roadmap and translate financial crime strategy, risk priorities, regulatory requirements, and business needs into a prioritized validation and governance plan.
• Prioritize models by balancing model risk, regulatory commitments, validation findings, technical sustainability, and capacity.
• Coordinate Capability Leads, Model Owners, Subject Matter Experts, Risk Management, Financial Crime, Technology, and Operations stakeholders.
• Oversee model validation, documentation, remediation, approvals, ongoing monitoring, and retirement across the full model lifecycle.
• Track and close model findings, audit observations, and risk acceptance actions with robust compliance evidence.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager in banking or financial services.
• Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
• Experience delivering projects in regulated environments and handling regulatory or audit requirements.
• Ability to manage dependencies, risks, issues, and remediation plans across multiple workstreams.
• Strong governance, prioritization, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and Polish, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience in Financial Crime, AML, or Transaction Monitoring projects.
• Knowledge of Quantexa.
• Deeper understanding of the Transaction Monitoring domain.
