Strategy & Operations Lead - Africa (Web3)

Location: South Africa, Cape Town; remote work

What you will do

• Drive country and regional project management across Africa, establishing operating cadence, accountability, and delivery against priorities.
• Lead cross-market initiatives involving regulatory engagement, banking channels, and licensing.
• Coordinate special projects and leadership task forces from planning through delivery.
• Analyze the African competitive landscape across exchanges, fintechs, regulators, and market structures.
• Partner with Analytics, Finance, and country teams to define, track, and report on OKRs while surfacing risks and opportunities.
• Build relationships with country GMs, global function leads, regulators, and external partners.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in startup operations, fintech, or financial institutions.
• Experience managing complex projects across multiple geographies and stakeholder groups.
• Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems and deliver structured outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills, including working with data and OKRs and turning numbers into clear narratives.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with country leadership, global executives, and external counterparts.
• Hands-on, execution-oriented approach; experience with crypto, external partners, or regulators is advantageous.
