Senior Manager Category Management (CPG)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, USA; travel up to 20%

Salary: $116,200–$162,700 per year

Large baking company with more than 20,000 associates producing and distributing branded bakery products through bakeries, sales centers, offices, and sales routes.

What you will do

• Lead category management initiatives that grow the category, sales, market share, and profits.
• Analyze shopper, category, market, industry, POS, panel, and retailer shopper-card data to identify opportunities.
• Optimize product assortment and placement, including void closures, at-risk items, innovation, and core assortment.
• Lead Kroger Kompass and internal space management projects and activities.
• Build fact-based sales presentations and action plans for Kroger assortment stakeholders and internal leadership.
• Collaborate with Customer Sales, Brands, Business Units, RGM, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of customer-facing experience in CPG and category management; grocery and mass-channel experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, and presentation skills.
• Experience converting data into logical, actionable strategies and presenting to customers and senior executives.
• Experience managing people, including development plans and accountabilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and space management software such as JDA or Apollo.
