Lead, AI Engineering & SDLC Automation (AI)

Location: US-CA-Santa Clara, with an option to work remotely

Salary: $167,328–$261,450 per year, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for AI engineering and SDLC automation across the division.
• Shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery approach for AI-enabled software engineering.
• Design and deliver engineering tools, AI agents, copilots, agentic workflows, and automation.
• Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, platform services, and paved roads.
• Establish governance, evaluation methods, safety guardrails, usage controls, and secure integration patterns.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from experimentation through implementation, adoption, and measurement.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, developer productivity, workflow automation, SDLC automation, or related areas.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience building integrations, automation, APIs, developer tooling, or platform capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, copilots, LLM-based solutions, agentic workflows, or similar technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD, SDLC tooling, developer workflows, and cloud or platform services.
• Ability to lead technical work across teams, communicate complex topics clearly, and balance productivity with quality, reliability, security, cost, and responsible AI use.
