IT Technician (Mining)

Location: Perth, Australia; FIFO from Western Australia to a remote mining site

Salary: AUD 720–960 per day plus superannuation

What you will do

• Provide Level 2/3 technical support to onsite users and operational teams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, networking, wireless, communications, and connectivity.
• Assist with servers, storage, infrastructure maintenance, monitoring, patching, and fault remediation.
• Support enterprise hardware including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and site wireless systems.
• Maintain continuity of critical IT services across village and production environments.
• Escalate complex issues, collaborate with engineering teams, and maintain clear documentation and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Mandatory FIFO experience and availability for remote-site work.
• Solid Level 2/3 IT support experience.
• Broad technical capability across desktop support, networking, communications, servers, and general infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in hot, remote, and demanding conditions.

Nice to have

• Mining or remote-site experience.
• Experience with Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and wireless technologies.
• OT or industrial technology experience.
