Mechanical Engineer (Mining)

Location: Kinderdijk, Netherlands; flexible working with home-office support and regular commuting to the office.

Gross monthly salary: €4,000 to €6,000+, depending on relevant experience, plus 8% holiday allowance.

Develops and delivers integrated mining equipment and services across the full mining life cycle, including dry-to-wet, underwater, deep-sea, urban mining, and tailings recovery.

What you will do

• Design and model mechanical products and systems in 3D CAD.
• Shape early-stage concepts through brainstorming, feasibility studies, and innovative mechanical design.
• Perform technical calculations and select suitable materials.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Support the construction, assembly, and testing of mining installations.
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and international internal teams.

Requirements

• Higher professional education in mechanical engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD software; Solid Edge and Teamcenter proficiency is preferred.
• Affinity with sustainable technology and international projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Dutch.
• Living in the Netherlands or holding a valid EU work permit.
