Counsel, Global Regulatory Affairs (Fintech)

Location: United States — Atlanta, Austin, or San Francisco; hybrid with in-office attendance required at least 3 times per week

Salary: $203,800–$326,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage complex regulatory matters across hirify.global’s global operations.
• Work with global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams to develop and execute regulatory positions and strategy.
• Draft regulatory submissions and responses to government requests and public consultations.
• Support direct engagement with governments, regulators, and policymakers.
• Develop global regulatory best practices and ensure consistent application across functions and regions.
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality legal work under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the United States and active membership in good standing of any U.S. state bar is required.
• Excellent judgment, analytical, problem-solving, client counseling, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple time-sensitive priorities.
• Comfort using emerging technologies and artificial intelligence tools.
• Ability to attend the office at least three times per week in Atlanta, Austin, or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in payments, financial services, technology, public policy, international legal practice, government, or related in-house roles.
• International experience and fluency or professional proficiency in foreign languages.
