Commercial Underwriting Assistant (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois, USA

Salary: $23.37–$31.14 per hour

What you will do

• Support closings for national commercial real estate transactions by preparing invoices, routing title comments and underwriting requests, and ordering title and tax updates.
• Assemble pricing information and calculate recording fees and transfer taxes.
• Review and interpret commercial real estate documents.
• Audit ALTA surveys and legal documents for accuracy.
• Communicate recording information and prepare proforma policies, endorsements, and other legal property documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Adobe and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to adapt to new software.
• 1+ years of title-related experience is preferred.
