Credit Underwriter Sr - Inventory Finance (Finance)

Location: Schaumburg, Illinois, United States; office workplace. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $63,000–$124,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Underwrite new and existing commercial loans and prepare credit narratives, recommendations, and alternative loan structures.
• Analyze applications, financial statements, tax returns, balance sheets, D&B reports, cash flow, leverage, and multi-year financial trends using Moody’s software.
• Evaluate collateral including accounts receivable, inventory, real estate, and investments.
• Research industry risks, run credit reports, gather KYC information, and complete borrower and guarantor global cash flow analyses.
• Present loan approval recommendations to the loan committee and communicate credit decisions.
• Monitor delinquency trends, repossession activity, and annual financial statement follow-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of wholesale or commercial credit underwriting experience.
• Prior credit approval authority.
• Ability to analyze cash flow, leverage, customer strength, and financial trends.
• Strong written, verbal communication, presentation, judgment, and technical skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with deal sizes from $2 million to $10 million.
• Experience lending across a wide range of industries, loan types, and company sizes.
