What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, reliable microservices and distributed applications.
• Build near-real-time product data pipelines and database solutions for downstream business systems.
• Design data models and system interactions that support merchandising and other business needs.
• Build testing tools and CI/CD pipelines while improving engineering automation.
• Identify performance issues, optimize solutions, and support production incidents, alerts, and logging dashboards.
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate with hirify.global teams on engineering practices and delivery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with at least one modern programming language, such as Java.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and automated engineering solutions.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, New Relic, and AWS or GCP.
• Experience developing near-real-time distributed data processing solutions and event-driven streaming architectures.
• Experience using AI tools across planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience; retail or merchandising systems experience is also required.
