About the Role

You will design and deliver features for a complex multi tenant user store across discovery, implementation, review, testing, documentation, and production readiness. You will make technical decisions, build Java services and REST APIs, work with SaaS and on premise products, improve engineering standards through mentorship, and participate in on call support.

Requirements

• Extensive hands on experience delivering major features for products with complex user workflows
• Product minded engineering approach balancing technical constraints scope customer needs and business goals
• Experience using AI assisted software development workflows
• Strong Java development experience
• Knowledge of object oriented design principles
• Experience with Spring or similar Java frameworks
• Experience designing building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Maven or Gradle
• Experience with Cassandra or distributed NoSQL databases is beneficial
• Experience with Kafka or event driven messaging is beneficial
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling is beneficial
• Experience with Unix based environments is beneficial
• Identity and access management experience is beneficial
• Experience with JMeter is beneficial
• Experience operating or supporting production SaaS systems is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product architecture UX and SRE colleagues on requirements and designs
• Lead feature development from discovery through production
• Design and implement features components APIs and microservices
• Review code and technical designs
• Test document and prepare features for operations
• Balance product needs engineering quality performance security and delivery constraints
• Develop software for SaaS and on premise products
• Mentor engineers through code reviews technical feedback design discussions pairing and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to continuous improvement in agile delivery
• Participate in an on call support rotation
