What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Java backend services using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Build REST APIs, microservices, event-driven services, and platform components for hirify.global Network, commerce, subscriptions, identity, media, and partner integrations.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, write efficient SQL queries, and address schema and performance considerations.
• Create automated unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, or similar tools.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, AWS and Kubernetes deployments, observability, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, technical documentation, and modernization of legacy Java systems.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience developing Java-based backend systems.
• Strong Java 17+ experience and practical knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or related Java frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, automated testing, Git, and Linux or Unix environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, or Oracle, including SQL and database performance considerations.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, secure development, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Kafka, cloud messaging, NoSQL, caching, and observability platforms.
• Knowledge of API gateways, OAuth2, OIDC, identity platforms, application security testing, and legacy Java modernization.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, gaming, entertainment, commerce, media streaming, or large-scale consumer platforms.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly.
