Service Technician

Hobart Service, an Illinois Tool Works company, provides commercial food equipment installation, maintenance, and service solutions through a nationwide network.

What you will do

• Assist with equipment installations, assembly, uncrating, positioning, maintenance, and operational inspections.
• Drive service and delivery trucks to deliver or collect equipment using a lift gate.
• Support branch employees and service technicians with customer equipment service assignments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and work safely with mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Travel for overnight and multi-day assignments, including extensive daily driving and work on building roofs.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or related experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, plumbing, soldering, CO2, and Freon.
• Customer service skills, including resolving customer issues and following up on requests.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds, climb ladders up to 8 feet, and perform kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work in San Antonio, Texas, and travel for overnight and multi-day assignments is required.
