Automotive Technician

Location: Stafford, United States; onsite automotive service role

Salary: $17.50–$26.30, performance-based flat-rate compensation

What you will do

• Change oil and perform scheduled vehicle maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, brake, tire, and other vehicle systems.
• Install batteries, parts, and tires while checking electrical systems.
• Conduct tire maintenance and road-test vehicles.
• Assist with repairs and explain repair procedures to customers.
• Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. A1–A8 certification within the first two years.

Requirements

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks and perform general automotive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of oil changes, vehicle inspections, and tire repair.
• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must complete U.S. Form I-9 employment eligibility verification; temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Two years of automotive repair experience.
• Vocational-technical education in an automotive-related field.
• A.S.E. certification or equivalent external training and qualifications.
