Data Center Technician (AI)

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site at the Plano, TX Data Center 5 days per week

Salary: $89,000 – $119,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform physical installation, racking, cabling, and configuration of server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within advanced data center systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data center layouts and network topology using DCIM software.
• Manage parts depot inventory and track equipment through the full deployment lifecycle.
• Collaborate with hardware support and RMA teams to resolve infrastructure tickets and manage faulty hardware.
• Adhere to strict installation standards to ensure consistency and discoverability across all data centers.

Requirements

• Must be available for 5-day on-site shift work in Plano, TX.
• Familiarity with critical data center infrastructure including power distribution, airflow management, and structured cabling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
• Willingness to travel for the bring-up of new data center locations.
• Action-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with server hardware troubleshooting and network topology.
• Familiarity with Linux administration and ticketing systems like JIRA or Zendesk.
• Experience with Supermicro and Nvidia hardware.
• Background in large-scale distributed data center environments.
