Data Center Technician (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States; 100% onsite. The role includes up to 10% travel to other data center locations and requires responding to onsite equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes during scheduled on-call shifts.

Salary: $65,000–$83,000 base salary per year, plus potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair hardware, networking, and software failures, including root-cause analysis.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and inventory server and networking equipment.
• Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.
• Provide technical support and training to data center teams.
• Maintain documentation, test equipment, and tools while participating in a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements

• Hands-on or education-based experience troubleshooting and assembling computer hardware.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24/7 environment and participate in rotating on-call coverage.
• Ability to lift and position equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work in cramped, elevated, hot, and cold aisle environments ranging from 60°F to 90°F.
• Strong time management, organization, communication, prioritization, and rapid-response skills.
• Must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control access requirements for controlled information.

Nice to have

• Data center and computer networking experience.
• Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
• Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS experience.
• An associate degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
