Director of People Operations (SaaS)

Location: United States — Remote

Base salary: $204,000–$240,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own and scale onboarding, offboarding, compliance training, promotions, and other employee lifecycle processes.
• Lead the People Operations team and make HR Operations more visible and accessible to employees.
• Lead the operational setup of new international legal entities, including the UK, Canada, Germany, and additional planned countries.
• Maintain HR operations and compliance across all operating countries, partnering with Finance and Legal on payroll and legal requirements.
• Manage and expand the Employer of Record partnership supporting remote employees across approximately 19 countries.
• Build scalable processes, templates, and resources, using AI to improve operational efficiency and the employee experience.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of HR or People Operations experience, including 3+ years in leadership or management.
• Experience leading an HRIS implementation, migration, or major optimization using Workday, Rippling, ADP, or a similar system.
• Ownership of the full employee lifecycle, including data integrity, organizational changes, and process design.
• Experience managing HR compliance operations such as I-9s, leave administration, policy administration, and audits.
• International People Operations experience required, particularly across EMEA, plus experience opening entities and establishing HR compliance in new countries.
• Experience managing an EOR partnership and developing a team in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience across Japan, Singapore, or South America.
• Strong AI fluency applied to People Operations processes.
• Experience operating effectively in ambiguous environments where processes must be built from the ground up.
