Director, Global People Operations & AI

Location: Remote US

Salary: $163,000–$288,000 annual base salary for US locations, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the global People Operations strategy, multi-year roadmap, operating model, and service delivery standards.
• Lead the Global People Services team and develop a tiered model spanning self-service, shared services, and expert support.
• Set the automation and enablement strategy, including AI agents for repeatable People Operations work.
• Establish AI governance with human oversight, privacy, security, auditability, fairness, and compliance controls.
• Define service metrics covering service levels, case deflection, cycle time, cost-to-serve, accuracy, and employee experience.
• Partner with HR Technology, IT, Legal, Finance, and regional People leaders while managing vendors, budget, change adoption, and tooling.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in People/HR Operations, shared services, or people/business operations, including several years leading teams.
• Experience building or operating an HR shared services function and tiered service model.
• Experience developing automation strategies and deploying AI or agentic solutions in operations.
• Strong skills in service-level management, metrics, cost-to-serve, and capacity planning.
• Experience operating globally across multiple countries with knowledge of regional compliance and data privacy.
• Bachelor’s degree required; leadership, stakeholder management, executive communication, change management, and judgment in sensitive situations are required.
