About the Role

You will oversee end-to-end payment activities and ensure accurate and timely service delivery. You will organise workloads, supervise and motivate payments analysts, manage external partners, improve operational processes, monitor transactional performance, resolve exceptions, support audits, address system issues, and communicate with stakeholders. You will also manage provider fees and publish performance metrics for management.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in an Operations department, ideally in banking, fintech, payments, or finance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or a related field
• Strong understanding of correspondent banking, cross-border payments, and local payment systems
• Strong understanding of crypto payments
• Direct experience with domestic or cross-border payment processes
• Experience with crypto payment execution is a plus
• Team-building experience
• Ability to prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and work in a dynamic environment
• Understanding of banking systems and integrations with other tools
• Fluent English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel or database skills
• High attention to detail
• Interest in technology and cryptocurrencies
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Trello, Finastra, core banking platforms, Excel, G-Suite, Slack, or Zoom is a plus

Responsibilities

• Organise the Payments team workload
• Guarantee smooth payment execution and meet SLAs
• Supervise and motivate Payments Analysts
• Manage operational relationships with external partners
• Represent the Payments team in strategic aligned teams
• Develop, maintain, improve, and implement policies, processes, and procedures
• Identify and document process and internal control improvements
• Monitor transactional metrics and payment performance
• Handle and resolve payment inquiries and exceptions
• Liaise with internal and external audits
• Communicate with stakeholders and drive operational improvements
• Collaborate on identifying and fixing technical and informational issues
• Monitor system behaviour and report failures
• Trace and control financial service provider charges, fees, and costs
• Publish team and operating performance metrics
