Payment Operations Coordinator (Fintech)

Location: Remote from South Africa, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, or Chile

hirify.global is a growing early-stage payment processing business building scalable payment operations.

What you will do

• Monitor payment processing activity, transaction flows, success and failure rates, exceptions, delays, and operational incidents.
• Coordinate with processors, acquiring partners, banks, technology providers, merchants, and internal teams to resolve payment issues.
• Support merchant onboarding, account setup, ongoing account changes, and operational support.
• Perform transaction and settlement reconciliation, investigate discrepancies, and support refunds, payouts, adjustments, and corrections.
• Manage chargeback and dispute workflows, including evidence collection, submissions, refunds, tracking, and resolution.
• Prepare operational reports, track payment KPIs, identify trends, and help build dashboards and scalable processes.

Requirements

• 2–5+ years of experience in payment processing, fintech, merchant services, acquiring, banking, or a related environment.
• Hands-on understanding of the payment lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, funding, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Experience with payment processors, gateways, acquirers, merchant onboarding, account management, and reconciliation.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple operational priorities, work independently, communicate with merchants and providers, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to work remotely from South Africa, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, or Chile.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, Fiserv, Global Payments, TSYS, PayPal, Checkout.com, Nuvei, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, payment security, fraud prevention, and payments compliance.
