Senior Buyer (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, AZ; Space division in Gilbert, AZ

Salary: $60,500–$90,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead procurement activities across assigned business areas, including Assembly & Test.
• Create and execute sourcing strategies and negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and terms.
• Manage supplier performance, delivery, quality metrics, purchase orders, and expediting activities.
• Collaborate with planning, production, and engineering on component gating, kit releases, and program schedules.
• Assess material and supplier risks, implement mitigation plans, and resolve supply constraints.
• Conduct procurement analyses, support forecasting, lead continuous improvement, and mentor junior buyers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience; alternatively, an associate’s degree with 5 years of experience.
• Experience in a complex manufacturing environment and knowledge of procurement processes, purchase order placement, and schedule management.
• Experience sourcing electronic components.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and sense of urgency.
• Knowledge or experience with FAR/DFAR regulations is preferred.
• Ability to work in a role requiring access to U.S. export-controlled information.

• Advanced degree or professional certifications.
• Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel, and MBS.
• Experience supporting lean manufacturing.
• Aerospace or defense industry experience.
