Buyer (Electronic Components)

Salary: $65,000–$80,000 per year

Peerless Instrument provides electronic assemblies, systems, and software for the US military, including instrumentation and control systems used in Navy propulsion systems.

What you will do

• Execute complex and technical procurement activities for materials, supplies, services, and electronic components.
• Evaluate bids, select suppliers, and negotiate pricing, delivery, quality, service, and contract terms.
• Process purchase requisitions, change orders, and supplier requests for quotes.
• Monitor subcontract cost, schedule, scope, and order completion.
• Resolve damage claims, rejections, returns, over-shipments, cancellations, engineering changes, and quality issues with suppliers and QA.
• Conduct supplier site visits and assess production capability, performance, and delivery.

Requirements

• Strong experience procuring electronic components.
• Experience working with vendors and suppliers.
• Experience with inventory management software and systems.
• Familiarity with purchasing regulations and procedures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
