Vice President Portfolio Management – Project Finance Energy & TMT (f/m/x)

Location: Frankfurt am Main, Germany; hybrid working with office attendance and remote work subject to operational, regulatory, and legal requirements

What you will do

• Manage project finance portfolios, primarily across the Energy and TMT sectors.
• Handle refinancing, loan conditions, portfolio reviews, analyses, monitoring, and market trend assessment.
• Implement capital allocation and portfolio management measures to control risk and optimize yields.
• Prepare loan applications, credit decision templates, financial models, loan documentation, and legal analyses.
• Manage non-performing loans, watchlist cases, and restructurings to mitigate risk and achieve resolutions.
• Coordinate with customers, sponsors, legal advisors, Sector Coverage, Risk Management, Syndication, and Legal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a comparable field.
• Several years of relevant experience in Wholesale Banking.
• Experience in lending, project finance, or the Energy and TMT sectors.
• Strong understanding of specialized lending and structured finance loan documentation.
• Strong financial modelling, loan analysis, credit vote, and credit report preparation skills.
• Good written and spoken German and English; work location in Germany with hybrid office requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with MS Office, Copilot, and rating tools.
• Experience contributing to local and global portfolio management initiatives.
