What you will do

• Analyze regulatory changes from Basel, UK and EU regulators, including the PRA, ECB, EBA, European Commission, BaFin and ACPR.
• Develop advocacy positions, coordinate with Government Affairs and represent firm views to policymakers, supervisors, peer firms and trade associations.
• Provide written interpretations of regulatory capital rules and update internal policy documents.
• Coordinate impact assessments and manage regulatory change from initial proposals through implementation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal, Finance, Controllers, Technology, business areas and US policy teams.
• Advise on transactions and regulatory requirements related to capital resources, RWA, leverage ratios and return on equity measures.

Requirements

• Degree-level education and relevant experience in a similar regulatory policy or controls role.
• Investment banking experience with a strong understanding of risk and capital management processes.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory capital rules, including IRB, VaR, Pillar 2, Leverage Ratio, Basel 3 and CRD VI.
• Understanding of EU regulatory reporting requirements and strong project management and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
• Business fluency in English is required; another European language is preferred.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of liquidity requirements, stress testing, ICAAP, EMIR or MiFID.
• Experience coordinating regulatory change across international teams.
• Additional European language skills.
