Vice President Portfolio Management – Project Finance Energy & TMT

Location: Frankfurt, Germany; hybrid working with office attendance and remote work permitted within operational, regulatory, and legal requirements

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of project finance transactions, particularly across the Energy and TMT sectors.
• Handle refinancing, loan conditions, portfolio reviews, financial analyses, monitoring, and market-trend assessment.
• Implement capital allocation and portfolio management measures to control risk and optimise yields.
• Prepare loan applications, credit decision templates, portfolio analyses, and financial models.
• Manage non-performing loans, watchlist cases, and restructurings to mitigate risk and achieve resolutions.
• Coordinate with customers, sponsors, legal advisors, Sector Coverage, Risk Management, Syndication, and Legal.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, or a comparable field.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in Wholesale Banking.
• Experience in lending, project finance, or the Energy and TMT sectors.
• Strong knowledge of specialised lending and structured-finance loan documentation.
• Advanced financial modelling, loan analysis, credit vote, and credit report preparation skills.
• Good written and spoken German and English, strong communication skills, independent working style, attention to detail, and adaptability.
