Instrumentation & Calibration Technician

Location: Raheen, Limerick, Ireland; onsite role with 24/7 shift requirements

Salary: $14.55–$37.18 per hour

What you will do

• Execute scheduled, corrective, and post-maintenance calibrations of process and utility instrumentation in line with approved procedures and GMP requirements.
• Perform loop checks, I/O verification, functional testing, commissioning, and return-to-service assessments.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and low-voltage control system issues to support reliable manufacturing operations.
• Calibrate, verify, configure, and maintain temperature, pressure, flow, level, analytical, and smart instrumentation.
• Maintain calibration records, equipment histories, certificates, and work orders in CMMS and calibration management systems.
• Support investigations, deviations, root cause analysis, CAPA, out-of-tolerance events, facility projects, Lean, and 5S initiatives.

Requirements

• Time-served Instrumentation/Electrical trade qualification or relevant third-level qualification in Instrumentation, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position; relevant additional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
• Experience with calibration, instrumentation, and control systems, preferably in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Ability to calibrate temperature, pressure, flow, level, and analytical instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across instrumentation and low-voltage control systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with control valves and weighing systems.
