Director, Procurement Strategic Sourcing (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey office, with remote work most of the time and in-person collaboration as needed. Approximately 10% domestic travel required.

Salary: $177,000–$242,000 annual

What you will do

• Define and execute enterprise strategic sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives and pipeline priorities.
• Advise senior leadership and cross-functional partners across R&D, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and G&A.
• Lead category management and end-to-end RFI, RFP, RFQ, and competitive bidding processes, especially for indirect and services categories.
• Negotiate complex, high-value supplier contracts and oversee contract lifecycle management processes and tools.
• Build supplier performance management, KPI tracking, scorecards, business reviews, and supplier risk programs.
• Lead and develop the procurement team while improving spend analytics, dashboards, financial reporting, and operational controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the biopharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
• Expertise in category strategy, indirect and services sourcing, contract law, procurement best practices, and supplier risk management.
• Experience with procurement technology platforms such as Oracle, Agiloft, or ScanMarket.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
• CPSM, CPM, or equivalent professional certification.
• Familiarity with GxP procurement requirements and CDMO/CRO contracting.
• Experience building or transforming a procurement function from the ground up.
